As you probably know, our company work tends to be very seasonal. Well it's that season again! Ordinarily we are busy in preparation for Lenten Evening Prayer, Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter vigil services. This season has been unique in that I have created a performance piece "Knot, Not I" for the Rising Up dance showcase in the Robsham theater tonight and tomorrow (march 30/31). The piece which explore the relationship between Jesus and his disciples at the time of the Passion particularly focuses on the character of Judas. Judas is danced by a spectacular Jamaican dancer, Steven Cornwall. I am delighted with the piece and hope to have available for viewing after the performance.
Also coming up is a concert of Paul Melley's new works for God is Love. That's going to take place Friday May 4th. Will begin working on that right after Easter. And of course we have the Palm Sunday liturgies this weekend as well as Good Friday and the Easter Vigil. Busy time!
