Believe it or not, it's still the Christmas Season. (It goes till next Sunday which is the feast of the Baptism. In that spirit I'm adding the videos of A Dancer's Christmas 2001 and 2003. This was the second choreographic iteration of A Lark Ascending in which I juxtaposed the birth of Jesus with the ministry. Carol Faherty danced the role of Mary at the time of the ministry and Cross. Dian Melley danced Mary at the birth. Jamie Huggins was the "Son of God" in the beginning and then Jesus in the Lark. There's a section with John the Baptist so I think the timing is perfect for this weekend! Note that in the 2001 version, the opening was quite different musically and choreographically than the 2003 version.

Wow wow wow.... so beautiful and evolving movement! So wonderful to see...thank you so much Father Bob for sharing this. I don’t suppose you have 1993 or 1992 or 1991 or 1990 anywhere? Heeehee. I Think? Those were the years I was in it. 😊
